    About the Artist

    Anson Asaka is a Baltimore based, self-taught visual artist and a civil rights attorney. He has had three solo art exhibitions. His last solo art exhibition, The Black Queen in All of Her Splendor and Glory, was at katsea gallery in Towson, Maryland in March 2023. He has done commissioned paintings for FMC Corporation, Corpus Christi Catholic Parish in Baltimore and the Howard County Public Library, East Columbia Branch. Recently, artspace in Richmond, Virginia selected Mr. Asaka to participate in the JAZZ: February/March Juried Exhibition. LED Baltimore selected Mr. Asaka to be a featured artist on their website and billboard.
